Sometimes it is a little hard for me to get my productive mode started, like today. I get lazy and just want to snuggle with my cat or end up mindlessly scrolling Instagram without even really paying attention. So what do I do when I am in that mode and need to get it together and work? I get a dirty chai tea latte with almond milk, and put on G-Eazy or Bay Area Pandora.
I used to be a big coffee drinker, but it really triggers my anxiety and makes me feel super sick. For some reason, espresso doesn’t have the same effect on my system, so I now get a delicious dirty chia and it gives me the caffeine boost I need. But I will say, I hate the Starbucks ones, so save your money and go to a small local shop or a Better Buzz.
After I have my delicious caffeine source, I put on some G-Eazy. I have a deep love for G-Eazy. I first heard about him when his song “I Mean It” came on the radio. I bought tickets to his first show of his “These Things Happen” tour in Sacramento with my best friend. That concert was seriously one of the best night of my life. It was a small venue, and an amazing show. I got to meet him after and party on his bus with everyone. It was such a fun experience. Because of that night, when I hear any of G-Eazy’s music I get super happy and energized! Then I am able to kick into gear and get to work. Every once in awhile G-Eazy music makes me have FOMO and more want to party than work, so in those instances I put on Bay Area Pandora. I love Bay Area music because it’s not the same old stuff I hear every time you turn on the radio and reminds me of home so it helps hype me up.
I think it is so important to find the thing or things that instantly boot your energy level and make you productive! We all get in our lazy modes sometimes, that can be hard to get out of. But knowing exactly what you need to get going is so helpful in keeping you successful.
